The YMCA is the easier starting point for beginners and solo visitors because courts, equipment, and a recurring player group are ready for each session.

Where to Play Pickleball in Lewiston and Auburn

• North Temple Pickleball Courts, 55 North Temple Street, Lewiston, is a dedicated four-court outdoor municipal complex. The facility is open for public play from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Use the recreation calendar for closures, reservations, and special events.
• YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston, 62 Turner Street, Auburn, hosts indoor drop-in pickleball Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 10:30 AM. All ages and abilities are welcome. Members play free, non-members pay $3, and paddles and balls are available to borrow.

Getting Started

New players should start at the YMCA drop-in session in Auburn. No experience is necessary, the courts are set up, and loaner equipment is available. This is a practical way to learn the flow of a game and meet regular players. Individual instruction is also available through the Coaches section.
